There are over 3,500 Amnesty International members in Berlin and Brandenburg. With more than 30 groups working on specific issues, cases, countries or regions provide ample opportunity of getting involved. We work on countries and regions on all continents: Turkey, Russia, Belarus, West Africa, Sudan, South East Asia, Latin America, Iran, Algeria to name just a few. On issues, such as torture ,the death penalty, asylum, human rights abuses on women, discrimination on grounds of sexual identity, and human rights education. In Brandenburg, there are groups in Kyritz, Frankfurt (Oder), Postdam and Cottbus campaigning for Amnesty International’s goals. Follow this link to see all currently active groups in the district:
